Utica charged with Felony Grand Larceny after purse stolen from Chucky Cheese

A  week long investigation lead to the arrest of  Qaundell K. Oneal, 16 of Utica for stealing a purse from Chucky Cheese on Commercial Dr. in The Town of New Hartford.  On 2/4/07 at approx. 8:00pm the New Hartford Police Dept. responded to a report of a stolen purse which was stolen from inside of the Commercial Dr. establishment.  The purse contained credit cards, cash, and various items of personal property.  The purse was later recovered in the restroom, at which time it was discovered that $200.00 in cash was missing. Sixteen year old Qaundell K. Oneal of Utica was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree,  which is a class E Felony.   Oneal was released on his recognizance after arraignment in The Town Of New Hartford  Criminal Court.  Oneal is due to reappear in court on 2/13/07 regarding this incident.  The New Hartford Police urges the public to keep personal property with them at all times or to properly secure such property in a manner likely to prevent a criminal from being able to easily access their belongings.
