02/18/2007NEW HARTFORD MAN FACES 4th DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED CHARGE
On 02-18-07 at about 2:11am Ptl. Mike Kowalski observed a red pickup truck stopped on State Route 5 obstructing the intersection of State Route 5 at State Route 5B. Upon checking the condition of the driver a James L Willey, age 53 of New Hartford, Willey was found to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested for DWI. A DMV check showed that Willey has three prior DWI convictions dating back to 1988. Willey was administered a chemical breath test which determined his blood alcohol content to be twice the legal limit of .08%. Willey was also charged with the vehicle and traffic violation of obstructing traffic at an intersection. Willey was released and will appear in the Town of New Hartford Court at a later date.
