On March 7, 2007 the Oneida County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Emergency Response Teams from Utica and New Hartford Police Departments, executed a No-Knock Search Warrant at 906 Churchill Ave.
Investigators seized 112 Marihuana plants, approximately a half pound of dried Marihuana, a half ounce of Cocaine, a scale, packaging material, approximately $4500.00 in Hydroponic equipment (lights, pumps, ballasts, etc.), and a .308 cal assault rifle.
Michael Walawender was taken into custody at 906 Churchill Ave. at the time of the execution of the warrant. Walawender was charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree – a Class D Felony, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree – Class B Felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree – a Class A Misdemeanor, and 2 counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree – Class A Misdemeanors.
