Two car crash sends man and woman to hospital

On 04-20-07 at about 6:10 pm the New Hartford Police responded to a two car personal injury accident at the intersection of Rt 5 and 5A. Ptl James M. Hyatt II states that a vehicle operated by Kelly J. Whitmore, age 39 of Verona Beach was attempting to make a left turn from Rt 5 onto Rt 5A when her vehicle collided with a vehicle being operated by Robert F. Williams age 25 of Utica which was traveling west on Rt 5 through the intersection. Hyatt states that Williams sustained injuries to his wrist and back and his passenger Taylor Gordon, age 18  sustained facial injuries. Hyatt states that both Williams and Gordon were transported to St. Lukes hospital for treatment. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this accident. Hyatt states that Whitmore was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn and will answer the charge in the Town of New Hartford Court at later date.
