No Knock Search Warrant Leads to Two Arrests
On April 24, 2007 the Oneida County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Utica/New Hartford Police Department’s Emergency Response Team executed a “No Knock” search warrant at 1650 Miller St., Utica, NY. As a result, Maria Linen, 30 and Alexander Edwards, 30, both of 1650 Miller St. were arrested after a quantity of crack cocaine, marihuana, drug paraphernalia and $900.00 in currency were located in their apartment.
Both subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, both Felonies and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Misdemeanor. Both subjects were arraigned in Utica City Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail pending further investigation by the Oneida County Grand Jury.
