05/14/07 New Hartford Police arrest Utica man on Weapons Possession. On May 12th at approximately 11:37am, New Hartford police stopped a car on Burrstone Road. During the routine traffic stop, the officer found the car’s driver in possession of a weapon. Patrolman R.J. Hamo arrested the driver, Dara Sok, age 21, of 707 Saratoga St., Utica, and charged him with criminal possession of a weapon, a class a misdemeanor. Sok was found to possess a pair of chukka sticks, a martial arts weapon that is prohibited by New York State law. Sok was released after being issued an appearance ticket returnable in New Hartford Court on June 12th. Police seized the chukka sticks.
