The New Hartford Police Department arrested a 37 year old Chadwicks man on Halloween night for Driving While Intoxicated.

Lonney Linebeck was arrested after he nearly forced a New Hartford Police Department patrol car into the guide rail on Rt. 840 in New Hartford.  Officer Peter Colburn witnessed the vehicle driven by Linebeck swerving in and out of its lane heading east on Rt. 840.  The officer attempted to get behind the vehicle by entering the passing lane when Linebeck's vehicle cut infront of the patrol car and caused the officer to slam on his brakes and nearly hit the guide rail.  After being stopped and run through field sobriety tests Linebeck was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. 

Linebeck has also been charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and Moving from a Lane Unsafely.  Linebeck has been arrested numerous times for Driving While Intoxicated, and may face Felony charges for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.  He was taken to St. Lukes Hospital where he was treated for alcohol related issues.  He will appear in the Town of New Hartford Court in late November to answer the charges.
