November 28, 2006

The New Hartford Police arrested Nelson Pagan, 46, of 184 Main Street, Whitesboro, NY, and charged him with one count of grand larceny 4th, a class D felony.  Pagan shoplifted $1984.02 worth of disposable razor blades from Wal-Mart in Consumer Square.  Pagan used other property from the store to conceal the items and attempted to pass through the point of purchase when apprehended by store security.  He was arrested by Ofc. Steve Laymon and arraigned in New Hartford Criminal Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of no bail.  He is scheduled to reappear in court on 11/28/06 at 2:30pm.

Pagan was committed to the Oneida County Jail with no bail due to three previous Felony convictions.  According to Officer Steve Laymon, Pagan has 14 previous arrests for larceny since 1995.
