Police Department’s Core ValuesThese five Core Values are the yardstick by which we should hold ourselves accountable. To be effective, they must be universally understood, communicated, reinforced and integrated into all our daily activities. Here is a brief overview: 1.) Ethical Behavior – Maintain and enforce the highest standards of integrity and fairness in all our actions. 2.) Continuous Improvement – Embrace Positive change and maintain professional development through training. 3.) Respect for People and Diversity – Achieve success through mutual respect with the people we deal with, operating in an environment based on openness, trust, teamwork, innovation, diversity and integrity. 4.) Service Delivered in Partnership with the Community – Recognize that the concept of Community Policing and crime reduction involves partnerships. These partnerships will result in an enhanced quality of life in our community and a mutual respect between Law Enforcement and the public. 5.) Realistic Expectations and Management by Fact – The Leadership of the New Hartford Police Department will establish and maintain realistic expectations of its employees. The leadership will seek accurate information to make sound decisions; establish clear, realistic goals, monitor progress and promote ongoing feedback. Back to New Hartford Police Department |
