The New Hartford Historical Society has for sale at the society, 2 Paris Road the new “Farmlands of New Hartford book Volume II. Also available is Volume I. The society is open Monday 1:00 - 3:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Barbara Couture and Janice Reilly documented 63 farms in the Town of New Hartford. Also included in the books are photos of farms, families and paintings by Polly Blunk. This was a labor of love by Barbara and Janice have dedicated the Volume II book to their fathers, who were both successful farmers in New Hartford.
Farmlands’ Volume I was done in 2004 and documented 53 farms and has been very successful and created a lot of interest in the farming going on in the Town.
