Applications for employment for all Town positions are accepted at the Human Resources Office located at 48 Genesee Street. Currently there are 150 plus full-time and part-time employees working in different job capacities within the Town. Job openings are advertised or posted, when possible. Civil Service Law governs that all Town positions and applicants must meet minimum qualifications set by New York State. In addition, the majority of Town positions also requires civil service testing through Oneida County Department of Personnel. Names of candidates who successfully pass civil service exams are then placed on a County-wide list that makes them eligible for employment. The County list is valid for a one-year period. Persons interested in applying for Summer or other seasonal employment with the Town are encouraged to submit their applications in advance of appropriate season. Employment Application (pdf version)
