Council Member - Ward 4, Rich Woodland

Councilman Woodland was born in Utica, NY. Graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1988. He is also a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Banking and Insurance in 1990. He also holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance from SUNYIT graduating in 1996. Councilman Woodland has been employed by Fleet Services Corp. Utica, NY and is currently employed full time at Uniprise/Unitedhealthcare as a customer service representative since 1998. In April 2001 he married Kathleen Renwick.

Councilman Woodland serves on the public safety, parks and recreation, election, human resource, motor pool, planning codes and zoning standing committees. First elected in the fall of 1998 in a special election to fill an unexpired term. Then re-elected the following year for a full four year term.

Councilman Woodland is a member of St.Thomas Catholic Church in New Hartford a member of its men's club and also has served with its CYO group. He is also a member of the New Hartford Democratic Committee.  Councilman Woodland in his spare time enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, enjoys sports such as baseball, football , hockey and watching NASCAR races. Also enjoys surfing the Internet and playing bowling and golf.
