We Can't Help You If We Can't Find You!

A numbered address is needed for a county-wide 911 Emergency System.  It provides a positive identification of a house or business and enables police, fire and ambulance personnel to save precious time in an emergency.  Today, street addressing has become indispensable not only for public safety, but also for basic services.

In an emergency, police, fire and ambulance services often have a difficult time finding homes which do not have a numbered street address.  A particular problem exists in rural areas where house numbers are not visibly posted.  Make sure your House number can be seen from the street.   Please take the time to print out and review the brochure "Guide to Posting Numbers" available by clicking the button on the menu at the left.
