FOUR ARRESTED FOR PEDDLING WITHOUT A LICENSE

On June 22nd, 2007 at about 5:37 PM the New Hartford Police arrested Dyshell R. Butler, age 27, Kesaan L. Hill, age 31, Sheena M. Cormier, age 22, and David A. Latzkowski, age 22, all who were from the Syracuse Area.  All parties involved were arrested on the Town Local Law for Peddling without a license.                       

According to Patrolman J. M. Spinella of the New Hartford Police Department, the peddlers were going door to door soliciting Kirby vacuum cleaners.  Several residents in the Millgate Meadows Trailer Park in the Town of New Hartford were concerned about these actions and contacted the New Hartford Police for assistance.  When the peddlers were located in the park soliciting the vacuums they did not have a license to be soliciting said vacuum cleaners.  It is unlawful for any person to go door to door soliciting merchandise within the Town of New Hartford without having a valid peddling license.

All four individuals were issued Appearance Tickets returnable for July 17, 2007 at 2:30 PM in the T/New Hartford Court.
