Two Car Minor Personal Injury Accident

The New Hartford Police Department investigated a two-car motor vehicle accident on Chapman Road, in the Town of New Hartford on Friday evening.  The accident occurred near Murphy Excavating on Chapman Road causing a minor traffic delay in both lanes until both vehicles could be moved from the roadway.

According to Patrolman J. M. Spinella, the accident occurred around 9:30 PM, when an eastbound vehicle being driven by Mark. D. Zimowski, age 17, of New Hartford, struck the rear of a second eastbound vehicle, being operated by Kathryn M. Kobos, age 22, of New Hartford, who had suddenly stopped for deer in the roadway.  Kobos complained of minor neck pain, but declined medical treatment at the scene.  Both parties were wearing their seatbelts.  No tickets issued at this time.
