Remsen Man Injured in Washington Mills Crash

The New Hartford Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident Friday morning that injured a Remsen man.  The accident occurred around 9:00 am on Kellogg Rd in Washington Mills.

According to Officer J.D. Gehringer, two vehicles were eastbound on Kellogg Rd around 8:50 am when one of the vehicles being operated by Jacob Morehead, age 23, of McKoon Rd in Remsen stopped for a red light.   Morehead’s vehicle was struck from behind by the second vehicle, which was being operated by Anna Dambrosio, age 44, on Knoll Rd in Utica.  Morehead complained of a neck injury and was taken to St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica for treatment.  Dambrosio was issued a ticket for Following Too Closely and will answer the charge in New Hartford town court next month.  The Willowvale Fire Company and Edwards Ambulance assisted the New Hartford Police at the scene.
