NEW HARTFORD WOMEN SUFFERS MINOR INJURIES IN ACCIDENT

New Hartford Police investigated a one-car accident that occurred on Higby Road east of Tilden Avenue Friday morning at 7:24 a.m. The accident resulted in minor injuries to the driver.

According to Patrolman J. M. Spinella of the New Hartford Police Department a vehicle being driven by Joan Endress, age 57, of New Hartford, was eastbound on Higby Road when she lost control of her vehicle. The car skidded about 30 feet and struck an earth embankment on the north shoulder of the roadway. After impacting with the embankment the vehicle flipped onto its side trapping Endress inside the vehicle.  Members of the New Hartford Fire Department and Edwards Ambulance assisted in extricating Endress from her vehicle.  Endress was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for minor injuries.  No tickets were issued.
