Utica Man Charged With Larceny

On Tuesday March, 2009, the New Hartford Police Department arrested a Utica resident in connection with a Larceny that occurred during the early morning hours of February 13, 2009 at the Sunoco A-Plus located at 9272 Kellogg Rd. in the Town of New Hartford.

According to Officer Andrew Allen, Police responded to the Sunoco A-Plus for a report of a Larceny that occurred just after 10:00am on February 13.  A clerk in the store reported that an unknown white male entered the store and requested 3 cartons of assorted Marlboro cigarettes.  As the clerk was cashing the male out, the male grabbed the cigarettes off of the counter, ran out of the store and fled in an unknown type dark colored sedan.

On February 17 the New Hartford Police learned of a Burglary that occurred in the Village of Vernon involving several white males and a vehicle similar to the one reported by the Sunoco A-Plus employee.  The vehicle was subsequently stopped by Law Enforcement and one of the occupants was identified as Kristopher M. Fuller, 34 of Utica.  Through investigation, and by utilizing Sunoco A-Plus security surveillance, it was determined that Fuller was involved in the theft of cigarettes from the Sunoco A-Plus.

He was arrested on an Arrest Warrant and charged with Petit Larceny.  Fuller was arraigned in LCC T/New Hartford and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash bail.  The New Hartford Police were assisted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Contact Patrolman Andrew Allen at 315-724-7111 with any inquiries.
