UTICA WOMAN CHARGED WITH FORGERY AND GRAND LARCENY

The New Hartford Police Department arrested a 35 year old Utica woman after a seven month investigation and charged her with forgery 2nd, grand larceny 4th and criminal possession of stolen property 4th, all felonies.

Investigator Steve Laymon, of the New Hartford Police Warrant Office, arrested Andrea Gonzalez, of Downer Avenue, with the assistance of the Utica Police Warrant Squad and the Oneida County Probation Department on Genesee Street in Utica.  After an investigation by Patrolman F. Manfredo it was determined that Gonzalez did use a credit card that was stolen out of a New Hartford residence in August 2008 to purchase about $2,500.00 in merchandise from a store in Sangertown Mall, New Hartford.

Gonzalez was arraigned in New Hartford Town Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is due back in court on 3/17/09.
