Oneida Street Crash sends Child to House

On March 14th, 2010 at approximately 4:15pm the New Hartford Police Department was called to the scene of a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Oneida Street in Washington Mills.  An investigation into the collision revealed that a vehicle driven by 56 year old Paula Eannace of Barneveld, N.Y. was entering the roadway from the Tony’s Pizzeria parking lot and did not yield to a vehicle traveling southbound on Oneida Street.  Eannace’s vehicle collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Oneida Street, which was being operated by 20 year old Candice Tripoli of West Winfield, N.Y.

A three year old rear seat passenger in Tripoli’s vehicle was treated at the scene for back and neck pain by EMT’s from the Willowvale Fire Company. The child was then transported by Edwards Ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica for further treatment.  A three month old child also in Tripoli’s vehicle was not injured, nor was Tripoli herself.  Eannace was not injured.
