Whitesboro Woman Injured Following 1 Car Crash

On March 23, 2010 at approximately 1:30pm, the New Hartford Police Department responded to Campion Road in front of the New Hartford Shopping Center for a one-car motor vehicle crash.  According to Patrolman Andrew Allen, Megan M. Giacovelli, 18 of Whitesboro, was operating her vehicle through the shopping center towards the exit.  As Giacovelli exited the shopping center, she attempted to slow her vehicle to yield for oncoming traffic, when she lost control.  Giacovelli’s vehicle crossed both lanes of the southbound traffic and struck a guide rail that separated the north and southbound lanes of Campion Road.

Giacovelli was transported to the Hospital with bruising and complaints of pain to her chest and neck.  She was issued a summons for Failure to Maintain Lane and is scheduled to appear in the Town Of New Hartford Court at a later date.  The New Hartford Police Department was assisted on the scene by members of the New Hartford Police Department and Edward’s Ambulance.
