On May 4, 2010 at about 11:00pm the New Hartford Police Department responded to a report of a burglary that had occurred at a residence on Francis Road in the Town of New Hartford. Upon arriving at the residence, New Hartford Police Officers found that the residence had been broken into and that various electronic items had been taken.
According to Officer Jarod T. Petrie, an officer responding to the burglary report noticed a suspicious looking male walking down Clinton Road in the vicinity of the burglary. The officer stopped and interviewed the male in regards to the burglary. The male was found to be a juvenile and to have some knowledge of the burglary. The juvenile male was transported to the police station for further questioning. Through their investigation, the police were able to determine that the juvenile male was indeed a party to the burglary and that he had not acted alone. Hatzinger was arraigned in the Town of Kirkland Court on these charges and was remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000.00 cash bail. The juvenile male was released into the custody of his parents and will answer the charges in the Oneida County Family Court at a later date. Contact Ptl. Petrie with any questions at 724-7111.
