Rome Couple Charged after Disturbance

The New Hartford Police Department responded to the New Hartford Shopping Center after numerous reports of a disturbance involving a male and female, at a time where there were numerous patrons within the shopping center.  Upon arrival Patrolman Andrew Allen and Patrolman M.T. Kowalski located Tiffany L. Drake, 20 and Daniel E. Gray, 23, both of Rome, actively involved in an argument with each other.  While attempting to interview Gray and Drake, both subjects became uncooperative and belligerent with Officers.  While attempting to take Drake into custody for Disorderly Conduct, she actively resisted Officers, but was taken into custody without further incident.  Gray was also taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct without incident.  Drake was arraigned in the Village of New Hartford Court on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $400.00 cash or $1000.00 bond.  Drake was also arraigned in the Village of New Hartford Court on a charge of Disorderly Conduct and released after posting $100.00 cash bail.  Both Drake and Gray are scheduled to reappear in the Village of New Hartford Court at a later date.
