Utica Man Arrested for Forcible Touching
The New Hartford Police Department arrested Nicholas Cavalier III age 39 of 1418 Buckley Road in Utica for Forcible Touching, Unlawful Imprisonment in the second degree both class A Misdemeanors, and Harassment a Violation.
Cavalier who is the owner of Nick’s New York Pizzeria and Deli at 85 Clinton Road, is accused of grabbing and touching a 20 year old female employee at the business. The employee reported to Police that at about 9:00 pm on Thursday night while closing the business alone with Cavalier he grabbed her by the wrists and held her hands above her head and inappropriately touched her. The employee had only been employed at the business since Wednesday and was working her second shift. The employee was able to leave the business and reported the incident to New Hartford Police Friday morning.
Cavalier was arrested at his business at about 1:20 pm on Friday and processed at the New Hartford Police Department. He was then arraigned in front of New Hartford Town Justice William Virkler and he is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
