Traffic Stop leads to Several Arrests
The New Hartford Police Department arrested Danielle L Raymond, age 19 and Joshua R. Baslow, age 20 of NY Mills after New Hartford Dispatch received a call around one this morning, stating several occupants were drinking alcohol within a vehicle.
New Hartford police initiated a traffic stop of said vehicle on State Route 5 in the Town of New Hartford after receiving the BOLO. After speaking to Raymond and administering several field sobriety tests it was determined that she was intoxicated and Patrolman Sica arrested Raymond for DWI. Raymond will answer to the charges next month in New Hartford Town Court.
After stopping the vehicle Raymond’s boyfriend, Baslow became uncooperative with the Officers at the scene. Baslow who was under the influence of alcohol was arrested at the scene for possession of Alcohol under 21 years of age. Incident to arrest, Baslow was in possession of a plastic baggy containing a green leafy substance, which was field tested and positive for presence of marijuana. Patrolman Freiberger processed Baslow at the scene and Baslow was released on Appearance Tickets and is to return to answer the charges next month in New Hartford Town Court.
