Chadwicks Man Arrested after string of Vehicle Break-Ins

     The New Hartford Police Department has received numerous complaints of items being stolen from unlocked vehicles in the Chadwicks area.  After several days of investigation an arrest was made and more arrests will be made in the near future.

     Officer Christopher J. Burns reports that either in the late night hours of June 11 or the early morning hours of June 12, seven vehicles were ransacked by several individuals.  Many of the vehicles had compact discs stolen from them as well as sporting goods, stereo equipment and cash.  The vehicles were located on either Oneida St. or Grange Hill Rd. in Chadwicks.  Several suspects were developed as a result of leads provided by Chadwicks’ residents and one arrest has been made so far.  Arrested was Thomas Gendron, age 17, of Elm St. in Chadwicks.  Gendron was arrested for one count of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor, and released on an appearance ticket.  Gendron will answer that charge at a later date.

     Burns advises that much of the stolen property has been recovered and that more arrests are pending and will be made in the very near future.
