Utica Man Arrested for Aggravated Harassment  

The New Hartford Police Department arrested Douglas A. Case, age 45, of Utica based on an arrest warrant for Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree a class A Misdemeanor.

It was reported to police that Case had been making threats to an individual via telephone since September 2008.  He threatened to kill the reporting party if she called police to report that Case was harassing her.

Case also made recorded threats to shoot police officers if they attempted to come to his house.

He was brought to the Town of New Hartford Court where he was arraigned before Judge Virkler.  He was subsequently brought to the Oneida County Jail under $20,000 cash or $25,000 bond bail.  Case was ordered by the court to surrender all firearms.  He was found to be legally in possession of over 20 firearms, over 12,000 rounds of ammunition, and over 80 spare magazines.

Case will return to court on 06/16/09.
