No Knock Search Warrants Leads to Drugs and Weapons Charges
A Utica man was arrested today after members of the Oneida County Drug Task Force and Utica Police Department's Community Policing Unit executed a "no knock" search warrant at 740 Lansing Street in the city. Arrested was Richard Walker, 26, of 740 Lansing Sttreet after Investigators located an illeagally possesed .380 handgun, 29 grams of crack cocaine, 15 grams of powder cocaine, a quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia including a scale and packaging materials.
Walker was charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (class B felonies), two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (class A Misdemeanor), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (class D Felony).
AWalker will be arraigned in Utica City Court tomorrow morning pending a further investigation by the Oneida County Grand Jury and the New York State Parole.
