Larceny Arrest Leads to Additional Charges
On June 19th, 2007 at about noon the New Hartford Police were called to the Hannaford’s store on Commercial Drive to investigate a larceny that had just occurred. Police were advised that a male had fled the store down Commercial Drive. Responding units located Jeffrey D. Timer, 30 of Whitesboro running through the Price Chopper parking lot and took him into custody. According to Patrolman Matthew Sica, Timer was originally charged with Petit Larceny and processed at the New Hartford Police Station. Further investigation found that Timer had given Police a false name in order to avoid an Arrest Warrant out of the City of Oneonta Police and the fact that he had 22 prior arrests, 12 being felonies. Timer was additionally charged with Forgery in the second degree a Felony and Criminal Impersonation a Misdemeanor. Timer was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on no bail. He is to return to court at a later date.
