Suspect Wanted out of NYC Located in New Hartford
Las Vegas man sought by New York City Police on Robbery and Assault Charges located in New Hartford.
On July 6th, 2010, Donald R Gaffney 40, who is currently a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada was located in the Town of New Hartford by The New Hartford Police Department and The United States Marshalls Service New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
On July 5th, 2010, NYPD Detectives from the NYPD Midtown Manhattan Detective Division contacted New Hartford Police seeking assistance with a Robbery investigation that was underway in New York City. NYPD sought to locate Gaffney who was being sought by NYPD for a Robbery and Assault that occurred in Manhattan on July 4th, 2010. Information was developed that Gaffney traveled from Manhattan to New Hartford and was believed to be in route to Syracuse possibly attempting to make his way back to Las Vegas. Gaffney, who was a former local resident was staying with relatives in the area.
Gaffney was located on Tuesday July 6th by police and later turned over to New York City Police Investigators who brought him back to New York City and charged him connection with the Robbery and assault of a woman in Midtown Manhattan.
