New Jersey women arrested for Aggravated DWI

July 26th 2010, at 9:12 pm, the New Hartford Police Department responded to a reported two-car collision on State Route 5A near the front entrance to First Source Federal Credit Union.

An investigation into the collision by Officer Freiberger, determined that Ms. Terry A. Figliolo, 62 years of age from New Jersey, made a right hand turn from Seneca Turnpike onto  State Route 5A driving the wrong way around the traffic island and continued to drive east in the westbound lane and subsequently collided head on into another vehicle operated by Erin Kelda, 27 years of age from Sauquoit.

While interviewing Ms. Figliolo, Figliolo states that she is coming from New Jersey and been driving for the past 6 hours and had consumed alcohol within the vehicle during her drive. Figliolo performed several field tests at the scene and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Figliolo was transported to the New Hartford Police station where she was administered a breath test that determined her blood alcohol level was 0.21%, which is almost three times higher than the legal limit of 0.08%.  Figliolo was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content higher than 0.18%, and Drove Wrong Way of traffic island. Figliolo was arraigned in the Town Of New Hartford Court and was remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $300.00 cash bail.
