Clark Mills Woman Injured Following Collision with Deer

The New Hartford Police Department responded to Rt. 840 westbound shortly before 1130pm in regards to a car v deer motor vehicle crash.

According to Patrolman Andrew Allen, P. E Stachelski, 57 of Clark Mills was operating her vehicle west on Rt. 840, when a deer entered the roadway from the south.  The deer crossed in front of Stachelski’s vehicle causing a collision.  Stachelski was trapped in her vehicle for a short time and was extricated by NY Mills Fire Department.  She was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with complaints of neck pain.  Edward’s Ambulance also assisted on the scene.
