Two sent to the hospital in New Hartford Accident 

The New Hartford Police Department investigated a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon injuring two women.  The accident occurred around 12:16pm on State Route 5 near Yahnundasis.

According to Patrolman W. Jason Freiberger, the accident occurred when a vehicle, driven by Michelle A Gaetnao. age 29, of Utica struck the rear of a vehicle traveling westbound on State Route 5, operated by Kathleen A Campola, age 57 of Fredonia.  Campola complained  of neck pain and was treated and transported by Edwards Ambulance to St. Lukes Hospital for further evaluation. Gaetnao possibly sustain loss of consciousness from the impact and airbag deployment and was also evaluated by Edwards Ambulance and transported to St. Lukes for further evaluation. The New Hartford Fire Department also assisted the New Hartford Police.

Gaetano was issued a traffic ticket for  following to closely and will answer to the charge in New Hartford Town Court later this month.
