New Hartford Police Join Fugitive Task Force
The New Hartford Police Department has recently become a member of the United State’s Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to Police Chief Raymond Philo. According to Chief Philo, members of the Police Department have been working with the Fugitive Task Force for the last five years funded by a grant from the State of New York. “By becoming a formal member of the Task Force we can obtain certain financial and jurisdictional benefits”, indicated by Philo.
Investigator Steven Laymon of the New Hartford Police Department has been assigned to the Warrants Division, and will continue in that position while assigned to the Fugitive Task Force.
