Wanted Person Arrested for Shoplifting

On October 7th, 2009 the New Hartford Police Department arrested Stefanie Boylan, 26 and Amanda Thomas, 29 both from Oneida on Petit Larceny Charges for shoplifting from Sears.

According to New Hartford Patrolman Andrew Miller, at about 5:40 PM,  Boylan and Thomas selected almost $700.00 worth of clothing, placed it in a shopping cart and exited the store with the merchandise.   Sears Loss Prevention Personnel stopped the two suspects after they had exited the store, with the stolen merchandise.  Upon further investigation it was determined that both had numerous previous convictions for shoplifting.  Boylan was also found to wanted in Buffalo for Petit Larceny.

Boylan and Thomas were arraigned in front of Judge Virkler and sent to Oneida County Jail on $500/1000 and $300/600 bail.  Both are due back in court on October 13, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
