MALE ARRESTED AFTER FOOT PURSUIT

On October 9th, 2009 at about 7:00 PM the New Hartford Police arrested Andrey Silchuk, 20 of Frankfort for a larceny from Macy’s in Sangertown Square Mall.  According to store security Silchuk had stolen a number of men’s ties and ran from the store across Seneca Turnpike.  Responding Officers were able to locate Silchuk on Irving Rd. and when approached he fled on foot through a number of back yards.  He was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle on Winn Ave. with Officers.

Silchuk was charged with misdemeanor counts of Petit Larceny and Resisting Arrest.  He was arraigned in the Town Of New Hartford Court and released on bail.  He is to appear on a later date.
