CRASH SENDS TEENAGER TO HOSPITAL
On October 11th, 2009 at about 3:06 pm the New Hartford Police Department responded to Commercial Drive for a two car personal injury car crash.
Patrolman Michael Kowalski states that Amanda G. Peck, age 18, of New Berlin was driving a 1999 Ford southwest on Commercial Drive behind a 2005 Chevrolet which was being driven by Craig M. Joyce, age 47, also of New Berlin. Patrolman Kowalski states that Joyce had stopped quickly for traffic in front of him and that Peck collided with the rear of Joyce's vehicle when she was unable to stop in time. Peck complained of hip pain and was transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital for treatment. Peck was issued traffic tickets for following to closely and for operating without proof of insurance. Peck is to appear in the Town of New Hartford Court in November. The New York MIlls Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
