4 INJURED IN NEW HARTFORD CRASH 

On October 23, 2009 at about 11:55 AM the New Hartford Police investigated a 2-car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Commercial Drive in front of First Source Federal Credit Union.  According to Patrolman Matthew Sica, Theresas M. Schrader, 51 of Marcy was traveling south on Commercial Drive when a vehicle driven by Caroline J. Hayward 20 of Jordanville attempted to turn left onto Commercial Dr. in front of her.  Schrader attempted to avoid Hayward but struck her on the left side of the vehicle. 

Schrader and her juvenile passengers ages 7 and 11 were all transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital by Edwards Ambulance with minor neck and chest injuries.  Hayward complained of pain to her head but refused to be transported to the hospital. 

Hayward was issued a summons for failure to yield the right of way when making a left turn and is due in the Town of New Hartford Court at a later date.
