NEW HARTFORD MAN CHARGED AS FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE

Inv. Richard J. Salamone of the New Hartford Police Department assigned to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, arrested Sheldon A. Weinstein age 62, of # 3 Pippin Wood Dr. New Hartford NY, as a fugitive from justice from Berwick Maine.  Weinstein was charged with Gross Sexual Act, which is a Class A Felony in the state of Maine. 

Inv. Salamone working jointly with the Berwick Police Department said the arrested involved   Weinstein having sexual contact with a 7year old female at time of incident.   

Weinstein was processed in the Town of New Hartford Court in front of Judge William Virkler and committed to the Oneida County Jail on no bail.  Weinstein will be extradited by the state of Main within 30 days.
