JUVENILES CHARGED WITH DAMAGING TOWN PARK

The New Hartford Police Department concluded a two-week investigation into damage and graffiti at the Donavan Memorial Park on Elm Street in Chadwicks.  According to Patrolman Matthew Sica, on November 10th, 2009 Officers on routine patrol of the Donavan Park located damage and Graffiti on the pavilion and play ground equipment.  Officers began interviewing neighbors and a few suspects were identified.  Over the last two weeks Police have charged three juvenile males and two juvenile females who’s ages are between 12 years old and 14 years old with 1 count of Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree and 1 count of Making Graffiti, both Misdemeanors.  All of the juveniles were released to their parents and are to appear at the New Hartford Police Department Juvenile Aid Division at a later date.
