3 CAR ACCIDENT ON STATE ROUTE 5A 

On December 7, 2007 at about 1:50 PM the New Hartford Police were called to a 3 car personal injury motor vehicle accident on State Route 5A.  According to Patrolman Michael Kowalski, Joseph J. Bishop, 17 of Brookfield was west bound on Route 5A when he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Sue Ann Joseph, 39 of Frankfort that had stopped in front of him. The impact of the collision forced Joseph’s vehicle to collide with the vehicle in front of her driven by Shelly Schroth, 38 of Holland Patent which was also stopped in traffic.  Joseph sustained an arm and back injury and her passenger Thomas Lampron sustained facial injuries. Both were treated at the scene by members of the New York Mills Fire Department and transported to St Elizabeth’s hospital for further treatment.

Bishop was issued summons for following too closely and operating without proof of insurance and is do to appear in the Town Of New Hartford Court at a later date.
