INDICTMENT IN LARCENY CASE
Gerald R. Dion, Jr., 36, of Sunset Avenue in Utica, pleaded not guilty before Oneida County Judge Michael Dwyer on 15 counts of felony fourth-degree grand larceny, eight counts of petit larceny, four counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, two counts of felony third-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.
According to New Hartford Police Chief Raymond L. Philo, an Oneida County Grand Jury handed down the indictments on Dion after hearing evidence that resulted from a nine-month investigation involving several police agencies. The charges against Dion involve his allegedly breaking into numerous vehicles in New Hartford and throughout the area. According to Chief Philo, Dion has been arrested in the recent past for similar activities. Dion was remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $25,000oo bail.
