WHITESBORO WOMAN FACES LARCENY AND DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES
On December 29, 2009 at about 7:15 PM the New Hartford Police were called to WalMart on Commercial Drive for a female Shoplifter. According to Patrolman Matthew Sica, Amber L. Beaton, 25 of Whitesboro was observed by store Loss Prevention Personnel concealing merchandise in her purse. Beaton was stopped by store personnel after exiting the store and the concealed merchandise worth over $50.00 was recovered. A search of Beaton found that she was unlawfully in possession of 29 Adderall pills, which are a controlled substance. Beaton faces 1 count of Petit Larceny and 1 count of Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, both Misdemeanors. Beaton was released and is due in the Town of New Hartford Court at a later date.
