Couple arrested after Shoplifting incident at Commercial Dr. Hannafords

On December 31, 2009 at approx. 800pm The New Hartford Police responded to Hannafords on Commercial Dr. after being contacted by store loss prevention who reported that a man and woman stolen  $150.00 worth of Enfamil Baby Formula. 

When the manager and loss prevention officer approached the couple, and asked them to stop, the man shoved the store manager and fled on foot down Commercial Dr.  He was subsequently located behind K-Mart by Police Officers who were searching  the area for him.  The woman was detained by the loss prevention officer at the store.   They couple was identified as Randa Aiken, 49, of Utica and Mark Aiken, 39 of Utica. They are husband and wife.

Both were arrested and charged with one count each of Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor.  Both Aikens were then transported to The New Hartford Police Dept. and subsequently  arraigned in The Town of New Hartford Court.  Both Aikens were then remanded to The Oneida County Jail in lieu of  $500.00 bail.
